1/2 C. yellow corn meal |

INSTRUCTIONS: |
Slowly
stir corn meal into salted boiling water.
Stir vigorously. Cook in
double boiler 30 minutes. Brown
chopped onion and ground beef in cooking oil or fat. Add salt, chili powder, drained canned
tomatoes, and whole kernel corn.
Cooking all over low flame.
Line well greased casserole dish with cooked corn meal, saving some
for top of pie. Fill with meat
mixture - spread remaining cooked corn meal over top. Bake uncovered in 450 F. oven 1 hour. (Baking 1/2 to 1 hour longer at 400 F
improves pie.) |
