PEANUT BUTTER SHEET CAKE

INGREDIENTS:

2 C. flour

 

1 t. vanilla

 

2 C. sugar

 

½ C. oil

 

1 t. baking soda

 

½ C. butter

 

1 t. salt

 

1 C. peanut butter

 

1 C. buttermilk

 

1 C. water

 

2 eggs

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Frosting:

 

 

 

½ C. peanut butter

 

1 stick butter

 

1 t. vanilla

 

1 lb. powdered sugar

 

1/3 C. milk

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Sift flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt together and set aside.  In large bowl, mix together buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, and oil.  In small saucepan, boil butter, peanut butter, and water.  Add to buttermilk mixture, then add dry ingredients and mix well.  Bake at 350 F. for approximately 20 minutes.  Cool and frost.

 

FROSTING:

Boil together butter, peanut butter, vanilla, and milk, then add sifted powdered sugar.  Spread immediately on cooled cake.
