BUTTER FROSTING

INGREDIENTS:

¼ C. butter

 

2 C. sifted confectioners sugar

 

1/8 t. salt

 

3 T. cream

 

1 t. vanilla

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Cream butter until soft.  Slowly stir in 1 cup sugar and the salt.  Add additional sugar alternately with cream, beating thoroughly after each addition until creamy and smooth.  Beat in vanilla

 

Additional cream may be added to give frosting spreading consistency.  Makes frosting to cover top and sides of two 8” layer cakes or 2 dozen cupcakes.
